Q. What geographic area does Nova cover?
A. Nova offers its services throughout the United States. Since we are
nation-wide, we can meet your needs at various offices locations.
Q. Does Nova handle contractors that require a United States government security
clearance?
A. We possess a secret facility clearance with the Department
of Defense and can process any clearance our client requires.
Q. Is there a fee to bring an Nova employee onto our company payroll?
A. Unlike temporary employment agencies, Nova
does not have a required length of service, or a fee for conversion.
We only charge the client when we pay the employee. The contract
employee's assignment can last as long as required.
Q. Does Nova provide pre-employment screening?
A. Nova can perform any pre-authorized background check per the company
request. These can include; criminal background checks, drug
screenings, validating drivers license, social security verification,
and educational credentials.
Q. How does Nova differ from a Payroll company?
A. Nova is more than just a payroll processing company. Traditional
"payroll" companies only cut checks; the client still
has to retain records on their employees. Nova goes much further; we become the legal employer for the contract/temporary
employees. We take care of worker's compensation, unemployment
insurance, benefits, and reporting all the temporary employee's
federal and state taxes.
Q. Are there certain labor categories
the Nova does not handle?
A. We handle most labor categories but we do
have a few exceptions. If you have any questions about certain
categories please feel free to call and talk to a customer service
representative.
Q. What is the pay cycle?
A. We pay our worker's on a weekly basis. Timecards are due to us by 12:00 noon every Monday. Payroll is processed
and checks are set for US mail or direct deposit depending on
the wishes of the employee.
